Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
The English legal text below is the authoritative version.
1. The deal
MyJournalPal ("the Service") is a personal journaling app that uses AI to help you reflect. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Your account
You need a valid email and a password to use MyJournalPal. You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Don't share your account with others. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service (e.g., scripted abuse, attempts to bypass rate limits, harassment of others).
3. Your content is yours
Anything you write in MyJournalPal — your journal entries, summaries, tasks, habits, goals — belongs to you. We claim no ownership. We use your content only to operate the Service for you (storing it, generating AI responses for you, computing your insights). See thePrivacy Policyfor details.
4. AI responses
MyJournalPal uses third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) to generate responses, insights, and reports. AI can be wrong, biased, or unhelpful. Treat anything Pal says as a starting point for your own thinking, not as professional advice. MyJournalPal is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, financial, or legal counsel.

5. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to harm others or commit illegal acts.
- Upload content you don't have the right to share (e.g., images of others without consent).
- Attempt to extract other users' data or bypass security controls.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or wrap the Service into a competing product.
- Use the AI features to generate content for high-volume commercial purposes outside personal journaling.
- Automate, script, resell, share, or proxy the Service in a way that turns your account into an AI API endpoint.
- Stress-test the Service, benchmark AI providers, or generate unusually high volumes of content unrelated to personal journaling.
6. Subscriptions and refunds
Pricing is shown on the home page. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime in Settings; you keep access until the end of the current billing period. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase.
Plans described as unlimited are intended for normal personal journaling use. They are not unlimited AI API access. If we detect automated, abusive, excessive, or non-journaling usage, we may apply rate limits, temporarily restrict AI features, contact you, suspend the account, or terminate access in accordance with these terms.
We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of purchase. Emailsupport@kanverse.appfrom your account email to request one.
7. Termination
You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days from our active systems and from third-party backups within 90 days.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running but can't guarantee 100% uptime, that AI responses will be accurate, or that the app will meet every personal need.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyJournalPal's total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll email signed-in users at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California, unless required otherwise by local consumer-protection law.
